Zhou Man, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School of Nanchang University, paid a visit to an outstanding alumni law firm in Guangdong

From July 1st to 3rd, Zhou Man, Party Secretary of Nanchang University Law School, and Deng Jianzhong, Vice Dean, visited the outstanding alumni enterprises, Huashang Law Firm and Huajin Law Firm, for exchange visits and field trips.

On 1 July, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Chief Partner Gao Shu. Both parties held an "Exchange Symposium between Nanchang University Law School and Huashang Law Firm, Shenzhen Branch of Nanchang University Law Association" at Huashang Universe Conference Hall. Huashang is a nationally renowned law firm headquartered in the Futian District of Shenzhen, with an office area of nearly 10,000 square metres. With a history of 30 years in the Greater Bay Area, Huashang has 47 domestic and overseas branches and is ranked 13th in the ALB China Top 30 Law Firms 2022 list.

Both parties exchanged ideas and discussed the integration of legal education and practice. Secretary Zhou Man said that Nanchang University Law School will actively learn from Huashang Law Firm's experience, strengthen the integration of legal talent cultivation and practical skills, provide better legal education and training services, and cultivate more outstanding legal professionals for society. Chief Partner Gao Shu highly praised Nanchang University Law School and expressed his willingness to further strengthen cooperation, provide more practical opportunities and resources to jointly cultivate legal professionals with practical ability and professional qualities.

On 3 July, Director Li Ye, Director of Trademark Legal Department Ou Pingfeng and Director of Personnel and Administration Department Zhang Feng warmly received the delegation at Huajin Law Firm. Before the symposium, Attorney Li guided Secretary Zhou Man and his entourage to visit the Guangzhou office of Huajin Law Firm and introduced and explained various aspects such as team building, regional layout, business development, party building work and the operation mode of the law firm.

Secretary Zhou Man thanked Huajin Law Firm for the warm welcome and introduced the situation of Nanchang University and the Law School. He expressed the expectation of jointly building an exchange platform with Huajin Party Branch, and hoped for further in-depth cooperation and complementary advantages between the Law School and Huajin. Vice Dean Deng Jianzhong said that Nanchang University has its own characteristics, and Huajin has advantages in intellectual property and foreign-related legal services. He looked forward to further cooperation between the two parties in unique cases, specialised legal forums, intellectual property and foreign-related business.

This visit strengthened the communication between the university and law firms and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration. In the future, Huashang and Huajin Law Firm will actively strengthen communication and coordination with the Law School of Nanchang University in talent cultivation, social practice, and academic research, deepen exchanges and cooperation, actively fulfill social responsibilities, and contribute to the cultivation of intellectual property talents, foreign-related legal talents, and the promotion of legal education in China in the new era.
